I am not a fan. Average or below food, so-so pricing. I had the lunch "special" fish and chips, expecting a place on the Florida Gulf coast to have better than average fish. Wrong, tasted like they came from the Grocery Frozen food section. The fries were nothing special either. My wife opted for the Cheeseburger with potato salad. She felt the cheeseburger was OK, nothing spectacular and the potato salad was equivalent to a decent deli potato salad.

Wonderful food and amazing service and some of the best cheesecake i've ever had and great sports.

Big Als has gone downhill in a Big way in the past couple of years. Could be the economy or the trouble that their sister restaurants (Mels) have had. Either way, it is no longer the place to go for sports, at least if you want to eat while watching. Too bad, because it used to be well above average.

Good sports bar with lots of tvs. Food is standard american grill type food. Wifes pizza was oaky, salad and enchiladas were tasty, but by no means gourmet. Plenty of cold beer on tap. Good local place to catch a game.

New to this area, we were looking for a sports bar that had decent food and lots of televisions. It was an early Saturday afternoon, there were not many people. My wife orders the chicken with pasta and I have ordered the buttered Haddock. They were both terrific.

This restaurant closed in April! I need to get this message up to the minimum fora review, so, again, this place closed. It was a so-so place, but now it is no longer open! Apparently I need to add more text so here goes and goes and goes and goes.

Let me start off by saying, we were a group of 13 that came in 90 minutes before closing. So I know that can be annoying for any kitchen and wait staff. I must say the description for the food items were much better than the actual food itself. We ordered the smoked gouda spinach artichoke dip and onion straws for our appetizer. I was upset by the spin dip, because I love smoked gouda, and I didn't get a hint of any smoked gouda in the dip, the chips were slightly stale, but the onion straws were really good and especially the sauce that accompanies them. For my entree I had a gringo burger. Another item that was described better on menu than how it tasted. My burger was too dry and they were really stingy on the amount of avocados that came on the burger. Yet they exceeded my expectations with the fries. Very delicious. All in all I would come back here for another meal, I would only suggest fried food, since all their fried food was on point. Oh, and I definitely suggest the butter pecan pie on the dessert menu, it's wonderful. Oh and my drink was very watered down, need more alcohol in the happy hour drinks.

Three for the food and Zero for the service. We were never told about the specials, never asked if we wanted more beer or wine, never asked if we wanted dessert. Cleared our plates and the check came. My girlfriend asked for sweetener and got an attitude, then got it slammed on the table. The food here is always great and I always enjoy the food when down to visit, but this girl made our visit a horrible experience.

Average here. But first the wait staff is excellent! He was fast, polite and helpful. The setting -is a bar and grill. The food well, I've tried there hot wings that was a bit a few early second off the grill (can you imagine taking a bite and the meat by the bone is almost cooked?) but the sauce was pretty good. I had the prime ribs sandwich, nothing spectacular here if you compare this to say like elsewhere. The au juice was a little salty. My date, she had the steak salad. She said, her steak when cut into it had tendon. Not like cutting into a loin type meat more like chuck cut. Nothing special here just an average place.

Consistently good food, fresh, homemade sauces and dressings. Excellent staff especially John Tucker on the patio. He is the best server in the area of South West Florida. Highly recommend wings, buffalo bites, burgers, ribs, chicken gouda pasta, steak and the salads. Very reasonable prices.

Outstanding service! We sat in the bar just because it was Monday night football. Bartender was very attentive, friendly, new the menu well, and made great recommendations! We had the Land & Sea and BBQ ribs and both were really good! In addition to good flavor, the steak was cooked just right! We tried the butter cake for dessert, made in house, and it was absolutely delicious!

Visited here twice so far and have to say compared to a lot of overpriced food in Naples this place ranks OK. The food is just OK very basic my wife had a a plate of Nachos that could seriously feed 3 people and they were good not great but good. The service was very good and the place is big with lots of TVs including a tv in the bathroom which was clean. I had a hamburg and it was good and the avocado was fresh. Ok by me..

Changed the specials but didn't tell us, then server couldn't find manager, waited and waited, then just paid the price that wasn't advertised and left, great service just bad management...... Will never go back, obviously we weren't important enough

Genre for rating: American, casual Big Al's is the epitome of a restaurant that has a vast menu, fantastic prices, and above average food that is consistent. The food is basic, and not overly impressive, but the prices make the food taste better than it really is. Tree is segmenting on the menu for everyone, and their nightly specials are some of the best after-price meals in town. What I get: whatever I'm in the mood for, big menu Best bet: when you are sure you don't want to cook, but not sure what you want to eat

Food was fair, nothing great. I came with a group of about 8, and when food was brought out, there was hair in several of the dishes. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, and was quickly able to replace the dishes. Service here is good, but maybe my food experience was slightly altered given my fear of finding a hair in my wrap. Prices were reasonable. Probably wouldn't return, there are better options in the area for sports bars.

Big Als has always been legit for lunch. They have had specials running through out the year and have awesome happy hours, including 2 dollar drafts. They have a ton of TVs and it's perfect for watching the game. They have a cool patio too with good seating so bringing a crowd is alright. The staff has always taken care of us (as long as we don't get the meat heads).

Promised I would write a review.. food is ALWAYS good, and staff is nice. Gen Manager is helpful too. Food is very consistent.. they must keep the same cooks... the tuna melt is awesome, the ribs are amazing, the philly, is messy, but good ( you need a fork and knife) (a good messy) I wish they didnt close the naples location....lunch menu is a great value.. if you are from out of town and are here on vaca.. go to big ALs for sure.. if you want up north quality food! oh.. apple crisp is great.. hard to find in other places.. tons of TVs if you want to watch sports, and great value for the amount of food you get.. probably about $15 for a good lunch meal, with dessert , drink, and amazing chili (no onions)

The food here is Ok not great. My husband had the $9.99 daily rib special and the ribs were dry like leftover from the previous day. Prices are OK and lots of flat screens to watch sports. Our waiter was fabulous- friendly and very attentive.

Food was fair. We went to Al's on a Monday when with one beverage, everything is $10.99. Many sandwiches and burgers are less than $10.99 but our server was very persistent that we take advantage of the special. My husband originally wanted a lobster pasta dish but was convinced it was a bad option. Instead, he ordered grilled shrimp which turned out to only be 6 small overcooked shrimps on a huge mound of rice. With all the other options around, I'd recommend passing on this chain.

Average food and service. Snow Bird rib special was a disappointment and a much smaller portion than the full size order. Just say no to Big Al's

New menu and only 3 burger choices..what happened to the Big Al burger? The Whiskey Burger? Anyway, baby back full rack $10.99, truly fall off the bone. Service better than usual. Of course I'll be back. 3.5 stars.

My husband and I both ordered the ungrouper sandwich which we have had several times. It is usually a nice piece of fish. This rme it was paper thin and you could not even taste the fish for the batter. The waiter (John) was excellent. I told him I was not pleased with the quality. He immediately agreed and promised he would fix it. 10 minutes later the manager delivered a beautiful piece of fish with his apologies. I respect when management takes this kind of responsibility. We will go back.
